Doing Nothing: The Best Goal for High Performers

If I could benefit from doing less, there’s no doubt that many of my readers, most of whom are busier than I am, might also be recharged with a down day from time to time.

I still think you need to set aside time to focus on your real goals, I just have a new goal. Doing nothing.

But I’m a high performer! How can I justify doing nothing?

If you try to be semi-productive during your downtime, you’re neither recharged nor productive and you continue to slug along. Taking time to do nothing is an investment in yourself.
