When I contemplate my future, I think about what I can look forward to, but I also have to consider the things I will miss.

Your coworkers may not be your best friends, and there may be a few you won’t miss, but once you retire, you will never again do the incredible things that almost seemed routine when you worked together.
While I won’t miss the frenzied pace of a day like that day, I will miss the patients. And the animals.
